Ralph Rivera There would be no VH without Ghost. Period. But are they too derivative or genuinely adoring? None the less, these are the best songs Ghost never wrote. Well composed and well played. Somewhere Papa is smiling proudly.

Tom's Reviews I used to think Ghost was awesome, but they're extremely overrated, and Vexing Hex is doing this genre correctly! Cool riffs, great vocal performances, and solid song writing. Forget Ghost, all you need is Vexing Hex! Favorite track: Revenant.

Possessed by forces beyond this realm, Vexing Hex formed in the anonymity of rural Illinois in 2014. Bonded by blood both figuratively and literally—two members are brothers—Vexing Hex cast spells in an infernal language they speak fluently: Occult Rock & Roll. Their debut LP "Haunt" is a witch's brew of doomy riffs, infectious pop melodies, and retro horror vibes. Vexing Hex will enchant fans of Ghost, Danzig, Uncle Acid, and '70s prog.

Originally released in 2018, "Haunt" has been exhumed by Wise Blood Records with the unholy blessing of Vexing Hex. Just in time for Hallow’s Eve, Haunt will be available for pre-order on cassette and CD. Played forward for pleasure or backwards to unleash Kandarian demons, "Haunt" is an eclectic amalgam of old school heavy metal, ‘70s prog rock, psychedelic rock, and traditional doom.

All who order a physical copy of "Haunt" will also receive a free download of Vexing Hex's "Red Harvest" single. "Red Harvest" was mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), who also mastered amazing records by Tribulation, Lucifer, Sweven and more. Join the coven, and get hexed!
